Hi! I’m Siobhan, and I’m guessing you’ve landed here because you want to know a bit more about me and what I do. This is my personal site, which is a catch-all for the junk that I don’t want to put on my business site, or articles that I don’t want to hawk out to Smashing Magazine or whatever other news source is on my radar. And, of course, you’ll find this site full of info related to my business, writing in general, and the occasional rant (I’m not very ranty though so if you get one of those it’ll be a real treat).
What I Do
I run Words for WP, the only copywriting company on the planet dedicated to WordPress businesses. This means that I write web content, documentation, articles, blog posts, UI text, readmes, and anything else WordPressy that you might need. These days I still build the occasional client website, but writing about WordPress is my top skill and if you’d like to talk to me about how I can help with your WordPress docs feel free to get in touch. Apart from WordPress….
I write fiction. I’m successful enough to have an agent, but not so successful as to have my book published yet. This is probably because a) I have no book deal, b) my book isn’t finished so I can’t get a book deal. Last new year I resolved to get up every morning, write for 3-4 hours, and then work for Words for WP clients. So far this has been successful, and I’m hoping that by the summer I’ll have a first draft off to my agent. That will mean happy agent and happy me.

I live in Kent in the UK with my husband D, who’s definitely the best person in the world. We have two cats, Muggers and Radders. Radders is a cute black cloud who floats about our house with a massive fluffy tail that is always shaped like a question mark (think Nermal from Garfield). Muggers is pure evil. We are both hoping she’ll leave one day. In the meantime we have to put up with her plotting to kill us.
I also enjoy buying shoes, trips to Nandos, hanging out with my best friend Fay, reading, watching movies (especially Zoolander and anything directed by Werner Herzog), sleeping, and running my 1990 Ford Escort into posts.
